那棵老樹上刻了一個又一個的日子。1998年8月、9月、1999年8月、9月、2000年8 月、9 月、不知是否有一對的情侶,每年的暑假都會在這裡相聚。真是令人羡慕的。再看下去看見2001年8月、9 月,也許是他們的約定。真想在等待半年,回來看一看那棵老樹,碰碰運可否遇見他們。可惜時候不早了,我要拿起背包走的。下一站是哪的?我想應該是地球的另一半。老樹再見吧!我在樹上刻上"祝你們幸福"。 (寫於大約2001年,是在心情好轉,那是寫的。想應該在來澳洲之前或到步不久時寫的。)

人生就有如一場長跑賽的。 在人的一生中需要不斷地向前跑，不斷地繞著運動場上的跑道，就好像行星繞著恆星公傳一樣。 人生長跑賽的跑道一點也不平坦，在賽道上有很多障礙物，還有一些起伏不平的的地方。 在人生長賽中，人們需要避開或是清除那些障礙物。走過伏起的地方時，更需要放慢步伐，小心翼翼地走過，否則就會摔倒在地上。 不論選手有多疲倦，這場比賽依然會進行。 不論你是否願意接受賽果，你需要接受，不能不算數，不能重賽的。 還有每一個選手只能參賽一次，今次不能勝出，就要成為永遠的失敗者。 選手們，請全力以赴，你們只有一次機會! (寫於2002年)
